The deletion process is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to permanently delete your Liberty Wire account:
- Open the Liberty Wire app on your device or visit our web application
- Sign in to your account using your email address
- Navigate to Settings by clicking the "Settings" button in the top-right corner
- Scroll down to "Account Management" section
- Click "🗑️ Delete Account" button
- Verify your identity by entering your email address
- Confirm deletion by checking the confirmation checkbox
- Click "Delete Account Permanently" to complete the process
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your Liberty Wire account, the following data is permanently removed:
User Account Data
- Your email address and account information
- News source preferences and settings
- Reading history and article views
- User preferences and customizations
Activity Data
- Article view tracking data
- News source selections
- App usage statistics
- Any saved preferences or settings
What is NOT Deleted
- Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (used for app improvement)
- News content from external sources (not stored by Liberty Wire)
- Any data required for legal compliance
Data Retention Period
After account deletion, Liberty Wire follows these data retention policies:
Immediate Deletion
- Personal account information
- User preferences and settings
- Individual reading history
- Personal activity data
Retention Periods
- Aggregated Analytics: Up to 12 months (anonymized data only)
- Legal Records: As required by applicable laws
- Backup Data: Up to 30 days (automatically purged)
Note: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
